The Arcade Hunt: An Update

I know I haven’t been posting as many arcade machines as I should, but they are still coming. I do have to admit I was pretty disappointed to see that the University of Calgary no longer has an arcade.

In what used to be home to an arcade, which among others, had an old Tetris machine, Street Fighter 2, and even a 10+ LAN section for online gaming is now an Opa (a greek fast food joint). Nothing against Opa, but seriously? The pool hall and foos ball machines are gone too.

It seems like UofC has become more focused on filling Macewan Hall with food outlets – it actually feels like a mall food court. I’m glad to see Words and Pictures (comic book store) is still alive and hasn’t been replaced with a Burger King, but it may need to be replaced with a liposuction clinic.

More arcade machines are on the way. Cheers!
